TERRAM Makes Mud Run Pay For Charity

Mud, sweat and peers saw Maldon’s customer service and warehouse supervisor raise more than £1,000 for a hospice charity.

Carly Bownes was given just two weeks’ notice to take part in a Nuclear Races 12K mud run after her colleague Emma Hernandez, supply chain manager, threw down the gauntlet.

Carly agreed to run with Emma if she could get sponsorship of £1,000 for Farleigh Hospice, a facility long-supported by the TERRAM team in Maldon, Essex.

Emma set up a JustGiving page and just a week after posting it on LinkedIn the target was smashed, with the team finally earning £1,370 for the good cause.

Carly and Emma were joined on the run by several TERRAM colleagues. Together the team tackled muddy obstacles in the freezing cold at the event at Kelvedon Hatch near Brentwood, Essex.

The money raised will give Farleigh Hospice, which supports people in the local area affected by life-limiting illnesses, a boost to help it continue its vital work.

Well done to Carly and the team!
