TERRAM NeedlePunch Technology For Rail

TERRAM’s rail team would like to re-iterate that our geosynthetics for track bed construction are produced using state-of-the-art NeedlePunch technology.

All of our specialist rail products – namely …

… are produced using our state-of-the-art NeedlePunch machine at our base in Maldon, Essex, UK. This ensures our materials have excellent strength, precise permeability performance and high puncture and high abrasion resistance.

A small amount of other TERRAM materials are produced using a spunbond process, but this is for other markets and very much the minority of the TERRAM product output.

Neil Stewart, Sales Specialist – Rail, said: “It’s disappointing that small sections of the rail market have been led to believe that TERRAM’s rail geosynthetics are still produced using a spunbond process. We are looking into the source of this misinformation.

“I can confirm that the rail portfolio products listed above are all produced using our NeedlePunch machine and thermal bonding capabilities here in Maldon."
