On the 6th June 2019, we celebrated TERRAM’s 50th anniversary in the geosynthetics industry.
We invited key TERRAM customers to our Maldon site in the UK. Following a plant tour to show our customers where the magic of TERRAM takes place and after a trip down TERRAM’s memory lane, we drove off to the venue where the real fun took place. The TERRAM team and customers had an amazing time enjoying a live band, spot prizes and games. It’s not every day we celebrate 50 years in the industry being the partner of choice.
Over 50 years, TERRAM has grown and evolved to be the Berry brand it is today: a global renowned brand in the geosynthetic industry, leader in the market and trusted by its customers.
But where did it all start? In 1969 ICI created the TERRAM technology at its original Pontypool site, TERRAM’s home for many years. Pontypool no only hosted the birth of TERRAM, but was also the home of the largest dancefloor in Wales (sadly demolished in 1983), that had the pleasure of seeing huge Rock and Roll bands such as The Who or The Rolling Stones.
In this special day for the TERRAM team we wanted to celebrate with our customers our heritage and hard work over all these years, taking a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come and looking forward to many more years of service, innovation and leadership in the geosynthetics industry.
