GRASSPROTECTA™ – Grass reinforcement for parking area (Hereford College)

During the construction and enhancements of their facilities, the main Hereford Sixth Form College car park required closure. Hereford SFC decided to make use of existing grassed areas for parking, which presented the problem of surface damage in the form  of wear and rutting, making it unsightly and requiring a great deal of  remedial work in the future.

GrassProtecta™ Heavy  was specified, as a solution to eliminate the problems that the college faced. With regular watering the existing grass sward and the newly sown seed areas quickly established through the mesh, creating a natural, strong intertwined surface, ready for the college to start parking on – free of rutting and general damage when trafficked by vehicles. The area was used  throughout the building enhancements and now complete, the discreet grassed parking solution continues to be used as additional overflow car parking.
